About
Rooting heritage and softness in the practice of radical, joyful belonging.Hi, I’m Luz Palou García, an interdisciplinary artist based in Athens, Georgia
I work primarily in oil painting, installation, ceramics, and sculpture. Born in Puebla, Mexico, frequent moves defined my childhood, with nature as the only constant. In each transition, I found solace in walking, observing organic forms, and intricate details in the natural world. My practice explores themes of grief, belonging, and displacement, while imagining new pathways forward. Through the portals I create, I invite audiences to envision alternative ways of navigating the world.
I currently live and work in Athens and am looking for creative work.
How differently would you move through life if you could imagine a better world?
